Great music! I nearly went right to Ama*on.com to order you a blender, knife set and whisks, and a hotplate until I realized your kitchen was more than just that desk with bowls and bottles on it, but then I saw your stove. What an awesome little bungalow.

No sink in the kitchen? Do you have to haul water? It must be interesting living in a completely different part of the world. When I saw the fabrics in the market, I wanted them all. =) I buy some every year at a huge quilt show in California, from a lady who travels there (her family is from that general area) and brings back cloth, baskets, pictures, etc. Not that you asked. =)

Wow! I can't imagine living there. Did I see the lady put her hands in a basket and plopped food on the plate. I wonder if her hands are clean. My problem is how clean are these places. I know you have to get vaccinated before going but I'm looking at the quality of cleanliness. I could only stay for one day if I had the opportunity to visit. But thanks for sharing. It was truly enlightening. Keep sharing maybe you could change my mind about visiting Togo more than a one day.

real cool!! just a word of caution, it might be dangerous to have the gas cylinder in your kitchen at a higher level than the stove. gas cylinder should ALWAYS be at a lower level.
